Why we need your support!

After 10 years the Oahu Veteran Council has seen part of its dream (the building of an Oahu Veterans Center, located within the Foster Village Community - near Pearl Harbor and Aloha Stadium) come true. Construction of phases one and two has been completed and the center is open for business. However, we still lack the funding to complete the phase that is most important to us: the hall that would serve Oahu's Veterans.

The Oahu Veterans Center provides a meeting area where veteran organizations can further their community service programs and youth educational activities. The Center will also serve as permanent site for maintaining veteran records and displaying items of historical value. The facilities will be shared with the Foster Village Community Association for community related activities.

We need your help! The Oahu Veterans Council finds itself short of funds to build the complete facility and has been forced to build in three phases. Phase I consists of a meeting hall, bathrooms, office space for Foster Village Community Association, & the Honolulu Police Dept. An attractive entrance way greets you as you enter the facility. Park improvements of irrigation and re-seeding are complete. Phase two consisting of a dining room and kitchen are also completed. In order to build Phase III, a large building that will eventually be the meeting hall, the Oahu Veterans Council has embarked on an extensive fund raising drive in order to obtain two million dollars to complete the dream. You can create your own message using up to 3 lines of text and numbers or choose from selected designs for your brick(s). Put your service logo on the brick, or organization logo, or use one of the stock logos. The Vitralase(r) process is created with the technology of lasers. The lasers apply extreme intensive heat to a specific area, in turn, transforming the clay product to a hardened glass.

There is a one time additional charge of $75.00 to have your logo on the brick. However: The one time fee for the five military service logos has been paid by the Oahu Veterans Council. The one time fee for many of the veteran organizations, i.e. VFW, DAV, MOAA, etc., have been paid by the organization. Call first to see if your organizational logo has been paid for.

The Mini-Brick: You can also purchase a mini-brick, a small memorabilia of an exact replica of your larger brick. Exact size is 1 1/2 x 3 x 5/8 inches. It can be used as a paperweight or conversation piece. You may not have an opportunity to actually see your donor recognition brick at it's final resting place. Cost is $15.00. Buy a Brick
